The number of responders taking and completing free online courses on the Center for Domestic Preparedness’ website continues to grow.
The CDP added four online courses to its training catalog in November 2018, to provide responders with awareness-level knowledge about bomb threats and other hazardous materials. In the first six months, about 500 responders a month completed the courses.
The CDP training catalog now includes a dozen online offerings and, according to numbers released Friday, during an average month more than 1,000 responders are now completing one or more of the courses.
These are in addition to the CDP’s other long-distance offerings, which include virtual instructor-led training (VILT) courses, videos and a podcast.
