Two graduates of Center for Domestic Preparedness courses were recently featured in newspapers serving the respective towns where they work.
Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Technician Katherine Cunningham was featured in a report in the Monroe (Mississippi) Journal.
Cunningham, a graduate of the CDP’s five-day Hazardous Materials Operations Course, was complimentary of the training, noting she was thankful to be able to train at the center.
“Training at the CDP” is invaluable learning for those entrusted with “…saving lives. (And) I love saving lives,” she added.
Edgar Rodriguez, meanwhile, was featured in a report in the McDonough County (California) Voice.
The director of the county’s Emergency Services and Disaster Agency, Rodriquez recently completed the center’s four-day Framework for Healthcare Emergency Management Course.
“I now understand some of the processes that are unique to the healthcare sector,” he explained.
Because of that, I’ll be able “…to work better with our local hospital, in case of significant events,” he said.
