This video highlights the mission of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium, its history and relationship with DHS/FEMA, and the partners that comprise the NDPC.
The NDPC is a partnership of several nationally recognized organizations whose membership is based on the urgent need to address the emergency preparedness needs of the nation’s emergency first responders for a variety of threats and hazards. These partners include the Center for Domestic Preparedness, the Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center at New Mexico Tech, the LSU National Center for Biomedical Research and Training/Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education, the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service National Emergency Response and Recovery Training Center, the University of Hawaii’s National Disaster Preparedness Training Center, and the National Nuclear Security Administration’s CTOS-Center for Radiological/Nuclear Training.
The video also discusses each member’s area of expertise, the NDPC’s partnership with other federal agencies, and the variety of courses and delivery options, including mobile delivery options, indirect training, remote Zoom-based deliveries, residential facility trainings, and other additional resources.
