Classes from two NDPC partners are featured in the Winter 2022-23 issue of FEMA’s TPP Times. Texas A&M’s Engineering Extension Service’s National Emergency Response and Recovery Training Center (TEEX/NERRTC)’s course, PER-353: Active Shooter Incident Management, provides a framework to manage active shooter event response. Additionally, many classes from LSU’s National Center for Biomedical Research and Training/Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education (LSU NCBRT/ACE) target specific gaps in active shooter education and training . One LSU NCBRT/ACE course, PER-275: Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response, utilizes virtual reality to create an immersive, dynamic threat environment for participants.
